The directories labeled "oz78", "oz79", .."oz90" contain daily files of individual SBUV ozone
profile measurements. The directory labeled "zonalavg" contains daily and monthly zonal mean
ozone profile data for 5 degree zones. Note: in the examples shown below the titles may not line
up with the columns ver well, depending on the font your viewer is using. (It is best to download
the readme.1st file and view it in a non-proportional font using a text editor.)
The very detailed level 2 data records have been "compressed" to give only the retrieved ozone profile as layer amounts in 12 Umkehr levels and as mixing ratio at 17 standard pressure levels. (They are not actually compressed - they just don't give all the ancillary information.) Each day all the individual measurements are given in a single file, 5 lines per measurement, ASCII format.
Each SBUV measurement is given in 5 lines
IyrDay combined year (79, 80, ..) + day-of-year (1-366)
Isec observation time in seconds of day (1-86400) UT
Alat latitude of observation (-90 - +90)
Alon longitude of observation (-180 - +180)
ZA solar zenith angle of observation (0 - 90)
Iflag combined error flag for profile retrieval and total ozone retrieval PPTT (see table)

Ref effective lambertian reflectivity for field of view
Toz total column ozone in DU
X1 layer ozone amounts in Dobson Units for Umkehr layers 12 to 1

Daily averaged data (entire year in one file) in 5 degree latitude zones. At least 70% of possible data in a zone must be present for the mean to be given. Layer amounts (example 1) and mixing ratios (example 2) are given in different files.
Monthly average mixing ratios and layer amounts are
given in files zmon_mr.n7s and zmon_x1.n7s respectively, in the same format as the daily files.
