e62000 5 Oct 2001 Parameterized H2O run Test of interactive water parameterization in the full CTM. This is the same parameterization as used in the full CTM. Used fvDAS winds and 1/1/67 fvCCM H2O initial conditions to test. Level 1 is fixed to saturation with respect to liquid. Levels between level 2 and 70 hPa are capped at saturation with respect to liquid at or above -40C and with respect to ice below -40C (Marti & Mauerberger, '93). Passive transport at and above 70 hPa.

e62001 2 Oct 2001 Parameterized H2O run 2 Test of H2O parameterization for interactive water in the FCTM Used fvDAS winds and 1/1/67 fvGCM H2O initial conditions to test. Fixed first model level to a mixing ratio of .04. Between level 2 and 70 hPa limit H2O to saturation mixing ratio wrt ice (Marti and Mauersberger '93) if temperature below -40C and saturation mixing ratio wrt liquid (Clausius-Clapeyron formulation from Hess) -40C and above. Passive above 70 hPa. Stratosphere very little changed from original Gettelman parameterization, troposphere looks much better.

e62002 3 Oct 2001 Parameterized H2O run 3 Like e62001, except level 1 is now set to saturation mixing ratio (Clausius-Clapeyron formulation from Hess) and have assumed a 2C temperature bias in saturation mixing ratio calculation (to make stratosphere wetter)

e630 July 2004 Radioactive tracer run. Twelve tracers each with differing characteristics. (b55_50yr winds) Tracer run using transport with convection using GEOS3 fields. Twelve radioactive tracers, ten tracers with exponential decay rates, half-lives of 25.3, 75.9, 126.5, 253,506, 759, 1265, 1771, 2530, 3289 days respectively. One oscillating tracer with a one year period, and a pulse tracer set for one day. All have sources (value one expect for oscillating tracer(2-4))in the tropics (15S-15N) at the tropical tropopause.
