The Georgia Tech/Goddard Global Ozone Chemistry Aerosol Radiation Transport (GOCART) model is a global scale model driven by the assimilated meteorological fields of Goddard Earth Observing System Data Assimilation System (GEOS DAS). The GOCART model currently supports ACE-Asia field campaign by generating 3-day aerosol forecast products. Our products include aerosol optical thickness, concentration, and dry mass column for total aerosol or for individual aerosol components of sulfate, dust, black carbon, organic carbon, and sea-salt. In addition, several GEOS DAS meteorological forecast products, i.e., winds, precipitation, and cloud fractions, are included in our forecast package.Contact Mian Chin (chin@rondo.gsfc.nasa.gov) or Paul Ginoux (ginoux@rondo.gsfc.nasa.gov) for more information.
GOCART aerosol forecasting system has been shut down on May 4, 2001, at the end of the ACE-Asia mission.
